My “How” and “Why”.

This is one of my most financial rewarding ideas that saved my family during a hard time. Back when the housing market took a downward path to cause many families to foreclose on their homes I was one of the unfortunate souls to loose my house. We struggled for awhile paying one bill while letting another go until it all crashed down on us.
Reasons for our financial hardships will go unsaid for now and I’ll save that for another discussion at a later time.

After we had received a letter in the mail notifying us of our eviction and that our house was scheduled to be auctioned off to the highest bidder at our county court house steps we began to move out of the home and into an apartment. I had moved our basic essentials out and into our new place and had to leave out for work and would be gone for 8 days. After I returned from work I went back to the house to find that all my belongings were gone. House was cleaned out and yard had been mowed. My shop with all my tools had been completely cleaned out and all locks changed on all the doors. There was a paper on the front door stating that the property had been serviced by a company and to contact them with any issues with the property. So I called the number and they tell me my property had been taken and stored in a storage facility. After several phone calls the finally had decided that my thing had been taken to the local dump and tossed out. They later settled with me for a small amount to cover my belongings.
This is when my mind went to work on finding out about the company that had taken my things. I spent hours researching on the computer. My wife would get so angry at me. I was consumed with the idea of this type of work. I finally ran across a web site that showed me everything I needed to know. I started to read and learn. I finally took a chance and filled out a form for a contractor application with a well know property preservation company and wouldn’t you know it they called the next day and by the end of the week I was working. After a while of learning on the fly and figuring out all the different types of orders and how to complete them in a timely matter to maximize I started signing up with other companies and expanded my territory to include a large urban area that had more foreclosed properties than I could handle I was working 15 hours a day 7 days a week. Some jobs would take about 15 min and make $30 then to the next that would take a few hours and make $300. I was making over $1000 in a day on some days. I had one person working for me and paying them $100 a day. Not counting my expenses of course.
Now that you have an idea of how I began this type of work I can begin to explain a little about the business and list a few web sites that can help you learn what all is involved in it. I would like to add that I am in no means an expert and all this is just information to help you get an idea of what all is involved with this line of work. It is not a get rich quick plan. It is a lot of work and takes a lot of time and research to make sure you provide the best possible service for the companies you work for.
